Welcome To Pine-Richland Girls Soccer
|
The Pine-Richland girls’ varsity soccer team has a rich tradition of success, highlighted by 4 section titles (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007), 2 WPIAL titles (2005 and 2006), and 1 PIAA State title. In 2005, the Rams defeated Owen J. Roberts, the #1 ranked team in the nation to capture their first ever-state title.
The varsity soccer team competes in the WPIAL (District 7) and plays in Section 2. Section 2 is considered one of the strongest sections in the WPIAL made up of North Allegheny, Seneca Valley, North Hills, Shaler, Butler, Mars, and Knoch.
As our team has experienced success, we’ve had many players garner individual recognition for their accomplishments on the field. In the past five years, we’ve had 6 players achieve All-State recognition, 3 Regional-All Americans, and 1 player recognized as an All-American. We’ve had several players go on to find success at the collegiate level including 3 players in the last two years receiving Division I scholarships.
Our future looks bright with the success of our youth teams and middle school program. We look forward to all we hope to accomplish in the upcoming seasons and the development of our future Ram soccer players.
